HOLIDAYS!!!

Thats right, it's the holidays. The first thing I did as the bell rang was run an circles and jump. I sing to myself at mums classroom "It's the holidays it's the holidays". I was so excited. On the way home I couldn't stay still and I was talking about what we might do in the holidays. Maybe we could go mini golf or go to Australia. But today is the first of 16 days. Who knows what will happen? But today I played minecraft. I have a mod installed called Orespawn. It's a really big mod so I won't explain it in detail but there is 2 bosses that are insane! One is called Mobzilla with 4000 health! The other is The King with 7000 health. I've taken down Mobzilla once, but not the King. The reason I killed Mobzilla was because I had a sword that did 100 damage per hit. Give or take.

Explanation

Braeden: Guitar: How it makes its noise: The shorter the string the higher the pitch. The longer the string the lower the pitch. The strings themselves don’t make much sound. But he sound waves go in through the hole ricochets back and forth and eventually echoing out creating most of the sound.

Gladwrap tube

Scissors

Rubber Bands

Toothpicks/Screws

Hands

1.  Get a cardboard box.

2. Cut a circle in the centre.

3. Get a gladwrap tube and glue it onto one of the long sides.

4. Get rubber bands and toothpicks. Get different size and thickness rubber bands.

5. Put 4 toothpicks in the gladwrap tube near the top on the sides.

6. Put 4 more toothpicks on the cardboard box on the other side of the hole (or the side opposite of the handle).

7. Put rubber bands from 1 screw to the other 1 at a time 4 times.

8. Play a tune/song!

Quiz article week 9 term 2

Nine months ago John Roughan got asked if he wanted to write a bibliography on John Key. And he did. He started to write and write. The main things were.

He was a great politician and was the leader of a group called MANA. John Key doesn't even need this book to become more popular. In fact, if you try to run for politician he would beat you in less than 10 minutes. Thats how popular he is.

John Key was born on the 9th of August 1961. He has 2 children and is the 38th prime  minister from 2008. He runs a party called New Zealand National Party since 2006. At the age of 7, his dad died. His mum had a contract to run a cafeteria at a milk treatment plant.

Dodgeball. Dodgeball. The worst tournament they could pick. Dodgeball. I prefer badminton. It’s just that the first time I played dodgeball back in Nelson was hard enough.

*Dramatic Flashback*

“Owww” I moan when the first murderball hit me. The coach just blows the whistle and calls me off. Someone makes a catch and gets me back on. “Oww” I mutter again when the next murderball hits me.

Well the first practice here at Point England wasn’t much better. It was probably worse. It was the  year 7s VS the year 8s. Guess how many boys were on the year 7 team? C'mon guess. 3. 3! That is how many, including me. I'm definatly the catcher of the team but not good enough to catch all the good guys out. The year 8 team had half the class and about ⅓ of the year 8’s are boys so we got pummeled like an asteroid hitting our ship. Literally. The balls were the asteroids and we were the ships. “MAYDAY MAYDAY” we yell. Its not fun. But the good bit about not being good at dodgeball is the fact you're not a target. The good people are. So you survive longer and if you're good at dodging you might be the final one in your team. The question was, how good would we be as a full class???

The first match was better than I expected. Since all the good people were on the same team as the weaker people the weaker people would sacrifice themselves to protect the better people. The good people slammed, pummeled and caught the balls so the decoys could come back on. Then it came to the final 5 on our team and they had 7. But luckily they had no balls on their side. So we got all the balls and threw them all at the same time we somehow got 4 out!

The final three were harder than the rest. We hadn't learned the concept of taking the good people out first. Our only way to win was to catch them out or somehow get 1 out by throwing all of the 3 balls on our side and hopefully hitting them. We caught 1 out and had 4 balls to throw. We threw them all at once. We hit another 1! The last one. But he had all the balls on his side. With a big thrust the ball leapt out of his hand into the air and catapulted into a person from our side’s stomach. “Not a big worry, he’s not a good player,” I think to myself. Like a flash he throws another. It flies right past me. Hits no one. “Phew!”Suddenly the next one hits another weaker person. I glanced around noticing that I'm somehow in the final 3. We had 3 balls on our side. We threw all 3 at once. He caught 1, deflected another with it but a diagonally flying ball hit him in the legs. Success. Other team annihilated. Good job team.
